Montessori School

To enrol your children to Montessori School, you do not have to wait until she is 4/5 years old. Just send he/she in 2 years old, you will be suprise when you see he/she learn alot of things in Montessori Environment.
He/she might come home one day and show you how he/she can button his/her own shirt, or maybe tying his/her own shoe lace, or wiping table after dinner time and alot more activities that he/she will do to suprise you.
Besides, do you think a 2 years old children can socialize well? The answer more likely is no. But in Montessori Environment, children learn on how to become more socialize. He/she will sharing toys with each other, "communicate" with each others rather than quarrel/ fighthing. This is because the Montessori teacher will help out the children to know each others, to love each others.
Each set of Montessori Apparatus is having a magic power too. Children learn to share because there is no other sets of the same apparatus for them to use on, if they want to use the particular apparatus, they should wait. Once the children finished using the particular apparatus, he/she will put the apparatus back to the shelf and the children who are waiting willtake their turn, walk to the shelf to take that particular apparatus. Of course, the children who are waiting just now must return the apparatus they are using (while waiting) to the original place before taking the apparatus that they have been waiting for. In other word, Children also learn discipline and order in Montessori Environment.
Overall, Dr Maria Montesori had create an easy way for the children to learn more

Montessori Apparatus are very powerful, they can attract children to touch, feel, smell, hear or even hold them. In other words, Montessori apparatus take cares of children senses.
Children will be attracting by Montessori apparatus because the colours of the apparatus are sharp. Children can easily take and work with the apparatus because they are light. Children can
learn through Montessori apparatus because they will have fun when they are working on them. Example as below:
I remember when i was in my nursery year, i never learn 100/1000 in mathematics, even if the school taught, i will become so confused on the calculation. However, in Montessori school children learn 100/1000 in their age of 4-4.5 by using the Montessori apparatus. The golden beads of 1000 is create in the square, big square. all in gold colour and when children hold the golden beads, they can feel the weight of 1/10/100/1000. By touching and holding the beads, they can differentiate the unit/ ten/hundred and thousand according to the weight of the beads.

Maria Montessori

I think Maria Montessori is a mother of all children. No offence, but yes. I personally think so, even i am the mother of a 9 months old baby.
As a mother, i know how hard it is, how tired to take care of children? However, Maria Montessori believe that all children can take care of themselves if they are giving freedom of choice, time to practice, space to practice the material/ activities h/she needs or wants to.
But do you (as a mother) will let your 2.5-3 years old children tie his or her own shoe lace? or will you let your 2 years old children serve the plate when meal time? Will you let your own children feed themselves while they are eating slowly?
I guess the answer would be no no no?
Before i know Montessori, my thinking is also same like Every mother, don't let the children walk around, the world are not safe out there. Or don't let the children helps in kitchen, it is dangerous. Unfortunately, this kind of attitude might not help the children, but children will lose their confidence, or it could be more worst. How can he/ she exercise his or her hands eyes coordination if everything also not allow but only allow to watch television in the living room.
Maria Montessori create/ making all the materials to help the children. Her materials are benificial. Until now, we are still using her method In all Montessori School.
Eventhough not many parents can totally accept Montessori method in Malaysia, but its really prove that children who had studied in Montessori School can learn faster rather than the children who are not. I said so because i had observed this when i was taught in my 1st Montessori School. The children who studied 2 years in montessori school ( who actually only 3 years old) can actually do a 6 years old children mathematic calculation.
Amazing ya?? So i really must salute to Dr Maria Montessori, who is brave and intelligent. She helps the children to learn through the easy ways. I am sure one day my girl will be getting some benifits through Montessori apparatus when she is time for school.

Why teaching?

In Malaysia, not many people willing to work as teacher in kindergarten. A lot of people thinks this job is pay less but hard work. Especially taking care of the young children is not an easy job, you have to take care of their cleanliness, health and safety.

I've joined one of the largest pay-per-view TV station after graduate, I really enjoy this job in my 1st year. Unfortunately, I'm not the type of person who can continue working night shift, i feel headache. So i have decided to take up the early childhood course.

The course taught me a lot about children, this course also gave me many chances to mix around with children. This also let me learn some idea on teaching.

After the course, i have join the montessori school. The experience in school is totally different from the study world, this is the 1st time i really facing the whole group of chilren rather than 1 to 1.

Anyway, they are still an angel(s) for me. I feels more happy in School compares to the TV station job... headace gone!
